Bahrain pardons 250 Indian prisoners in a humanitarian gesture" Modi

The Bahrain government on August 25 pardoned 250 Indians serving sentences in the Gulf nation during the maiden visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the oil-rich country. Modi expressed his gratitude to the Bahrain leadership for the Royal pardon. As many as 8,189 Indians are lodged in various prisons in foreign countries, with Saudi Arabia having the highest number at 1,811 followed by the UAE at 1,392. Click here for f ull details here

Fundamentals of the Indian economy are strong: PM Modi In UAE

UAE can be a 'valuable partner' in India's $5 trillion economy goal: Modi

Abu Dhabi: India finds a partner in the UAE to achieve its ambitious dream of achieving a $5 trillion economy, Prime Minister Narendra Modi told the Emirates News Agency, WAM, in an exclusive interview. "We consider the UAE as a valuable partner in realising the objective to reach $5 trillion economy through a mutually beneficial partnership," said Modi who started on Friday night a two-day state visit to the UAE. There is no space for anything temporary in India anymore, says PM Modi

New Delhi:  Defending the decision of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) to abrogate Article 370 and 35-A, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday said there was no space for anything temporary in the country. Modi was a speaking at a programme in Paris where he addressed the Indian community. Although Modi did not name Article 370, he instead chose to use the word temporary in his speech. The Prime Minister also spoke about the government's decision to make instant  triple talaq  illegal and said it will empower the Muslim women in India, and the blessings of these women will strengthen the country.
